-Egyptian MP Reham Abdel Naby submitted an urgent statement to Mostafa Madbouly’s government, following casualties as a result of the unprecedented high temperatures in Aswan Governorate. The representative stressed in her statement, today, Sunday, that the power outage as part of the government’s plan to reduce loads affects the citizen in Aswan, and threatens his life due to the extreme rise in temperatures. She pointed out that the rise in temperature also contributes to an increase in the spread of harmful reptiles, as power outages cause civilian casualties as a result of scorpion bites. The representative called on the government to issue an urgent and quick decision to stop the load-reducing plan, saying: “People died from the extreme heat... The government must move quickly to save lives, or bear the consequences of other casualties.”
