But he collapsed before he could find anyone. Locals found Marc, 47, slumped on the ground and medics called to the scene found he had ­suffered a cardiac arrest, caused by anaphylaxis from the wasp sting. They resuscitated him and took him to hospital in Trieste, Italy. But his condition worsened and he fell into a coma before dying, four days after he was stung at the cemetery. Marc, whose mum died in 2019, had won a local Cook of the Year award in 2012.
