Rumors are swirling about Donald Trump's choice of Kimberly Guilfoyle to serve as the ambassador to Greece. The former Fox host's appointment was announced Tuesday night, hours after the Daily Mail reported a story that her fiancé, Donald Trump Jr., was seen with another woman. The ambassador typically lives in the host country, where they represent and update their home government. So, some see her appointment as confirmation that the engagement is off. "The same day Don Jr. debuts his new girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle lands a new post in Greece. This is no coincidence," posted the group Republicans Against Trump. "It would be one thing if my ex shipped me off to Greece, but this would get my story told on Snapped," she wrote on Blue Sky. Comedian Gabe Sanchez asked, "How much did Donald Trump Jr. beg his dad to give Kimberly Guilfoyle this job?" "Kimberly Guilfoyle is thrilled to be ambassador to Greece as that's pretty much her all-time favorite musical," joked host John Fugelsang on Blue Sky. Ex-Trump aide A.J. Delgado, who has her own unfortunate history with the men of the Trump campaign, posted Tuesday night on X, "Ambassadors are supposed to have some connection to (or at least deep knowledge of) the country to which they are appointed. Trainwreck Kimberly Guilfoyle? Is her qualification that she once visited the Greek Islands on vacation? What a joke." On Wednesday morning, she commented again, "I'm still amazed that Jr had his dad give his dumped girlfriend a job FAR, FAR away and *out of the country,* so that he won't have to run into her. This is epic levels of humiliation." Media Matters fellow Matthew Gertz pointed out that the announcement of Guilfoyle's pending post on the Fox News website oddly doesn't mention she worked there. "The good thing about naming Kim Guilfoyle to be U.S. Ambassador to Greece is that we won't see her for a long time," laughed software engineer Alex Cole. "We can’t have DEI but Kim Guilfoyle is Ambassador to Greece," lamented former prosecutor Ron Filipkowski.
