Josaleigh Pollett – If I Let It Quiet

Salt Lake City-based singer-songwriter Josaleigh Pollett returned earlier this year with new album If I Let It Quiet, which was released via Audio Antihero.

“The Witness” is an enchanted blend of indie rock and folk that has a full body of sound and production style that feels like a mix of Aaron Dessner’s production, paired with Sharon Van Etten. There’s a warmth and passion felt, even with some more electronic undertones bubbling.

Another highlight off the album is “Like a River” casts an equally enchanting spell that has an ethereal haunted presence that blends with the uplifting nature of the vocals. There is an almost playful quality to the production that takes its folk elements and gives it an imaginative and inspired take on the genre that hits with purpose.
