On Thursday, April 21, 2022, around 8:20 a.m., a motorcycle accident involving a Miami-Dade police officer has shut down a section of Northwest 36th Street including both directions near Miami International Airport Thursday Morning. The accident happened near the junction of Northwest 36th Street and 53rd Avenue. According to Miami Springs police, Northwest 36th Street is closed in both directions along 57th Avenue/Curtiss Parkway and Palmetto Drive, and residents are advised to avoid the area “for the foreseeable future.” According to Miami-Dade police, the motorcycle cop is a 15-year veteran who serves in the Kendall sector. According to the preliminary inquiry, the officer was heading to training when he was cut off by a driver in an SUV, according to Miami-Dade police. The motorbike is shown adjacent to the crashed SUV in a helicopter TV news video. According to Miami-Dade police, the officer was conscious and attentive when he was transferred to Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life severe injuries. According to officials, the cop sustained shattered bones and lacerations and would most likely require extensive medical treatment. Outside the hospital, a group of cops prayed for his recovery. According to authorities, the SUV’s driver is fine and has declined treatment. They have not yet been recognized or cited. The investigation is still going on.
