Couples Photography Session | Jess & Joe

I absolutely loved this extra special couples photography session with Jess and Joe! Jess is a dear friend that I have known since high school, and when she reached out to schedule a couples session I was over the moon. 

Now that I’m back in Michigan, it was amazing to catch up with this incredible couple and reminisce on old times. Jess and I actually went to rival all girls’ Catholic schools; I went to Marian and she went to Mercy! We met through a close mutual friend, and maintained our friendship throughout our time at Loyola University Chicago, where we both went for undergrad. 

I reconnected with Jess last spring when her lovely team at Dekaf Digital hired me to capture branding photography portraits for them at The Peninsula Chicago. It’s been wonderful to have such a strong working relationship with Jess on top of our friendship! 

Her husband Joe is a fun-loving Brit from London, and the two decided to schedule a fall couples session since they hadn’t taken updated portraits since their wedding. I always encourage clients to take the opportunity to get some updated headshots during couples sessions, which Jess and Joe were all for! 

We spent the entire time laughing and catching up. Lucky for us, we had a miraculous 70-degree day at our location in Kirk in the Hills, Bloomfield Hills, MI. We may have been sweating a bit in our cashmere (hitting the 70s in November in MI is unheard of), but who’s complaining!
