Prime Video has found success this year with big shows like Reacher and Cross, but one of its longer-running properties that came to an end after five seasons was The Boys. The raunchy superhero show is based on a series of graphic novels by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, but it was Eric Kripke who was the lead writer and visionary in bringing the story to life through TV. Fans may also recognize Kripke’s name as the head writer on Supernatural, and he even brought back stars from the show such as Jensen Ackles for key roles in The Boys. When The Boys first premiered in 2019, there was no guarantee that the show would succeed as well as it did, and some stars even thought that it might be the end of their road in Hollywood.
