Dodge has officially opened European order books for the new-generation Charger, offering buyers a choice between all-electric Daytona models and twin-turbocharged Sixpack petrol variants. Prices start from €66,000, with first customer deliveries expected from September 2026.

Dodge is making one of its boldest moves in years by bringing the eighth-generation Charger to Europe through an official distribution network. For the first time, buyers across major European markets will be able to order the car directly through authorised dealers rather than relying solely on independent importers.

The new Charger is significant because it arrives with two completely different powertrain philosophies. Buyers can choose between the all-electric Charger Daytona and the petrol-powered Charger Sixpack, both built on Stellantis’s STLA Large platform.

The Charger will be offered in both two-door coupé and four-door body styles.

Charger Daytona EV Specifications

The electric Charger Daytona serves as the technological flagship of the range and is marketed by Dodge as the world’s first all-electric muscle car.

European specifications include:

• Dual-motor all-wheel drive
• 100.5kWh battery pack
• 400-volt electrical architecture
• Two-door and four-door body styles

Two performance levels are expected:

Daytona R/T
• Up to 536hp
• 0-60mph in approximately 4.2 seconds

Daytona Scat Pack
• Up to 670hp
• All-wheel drive
• Positioned as the highest-performance variant currently confirmed for Europe

Official WLTP range figures have not yet been published. Current US-market data suggests roughly 500km of range for the R/T and around 420km for the more powerful Scat Pack, although European homologation figures may differ.

Charging specifications for European-market vehicles are still being finalised.

Charger Sixpack Specifications

For buyers unwilling to abandon combustion power, Dodge will offer the Charger Sixpack, powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged Hurricane straight-six engine.

Two outputs are expected:

Sixpack Standard Output
• 420hp
• All-wheel drive

Sixpack High Output
• 550hp
• All-wheel drive

The Sixpack replaces the legendary V8 engines previously associated with the Charger nameplate. While some traditional Dodge enthusiasts remain sceptical, the Hurricane engine delivers substantially more power than many previous naturally aspirated V8 models while meeting modern emissions requirements.

Design and Technology

Regardless of powertrain, every Charger features a wide-body design, a modern interpretation of the classic 1968 Charger front-end, digital instrumentation, a large infotainment display and a practical hatchback-style rear opening.

The four-door model is particularly important for Europe, where practicality plays a larger role in purchasing decisions than in Dodge’s traditional North American market.

Will It Come to the UK?

The Charger is expected to be available in the UK via import channels, although current indications suggest most vehicles will remain left-hand-drive. Dodge has not announced plans for a factory right-hand-drive version.

The European launch comes at a critical time for Dodge. Both the Charger Daytona EV and the petrol Sixpack have struggled to gain momentum in the US market, prompting the brand to seek growth opportunities overseas.

Whether European buyers embrace a large American muscle car remains uncertain. However, with official support, a choice of EV or petrol power, and pricing that undercuts some premium performance EVs, the new Charger arrives with a stronger business case than previous Dodge exports.

For enthusiasts, the most remarkable aspect may simply be that a genuine Dodge Charger is once again being sold officially in Europe.

Pricing and Availability

European orders opened this week, with Dodge confirming a starting price of €66,000. Initial deliveries are scheduled to begin in September 2026. Distribution will be handled by KW Automotive, while parts support will be provided through Iron Parts, giving the model a more formal sales and service structure than previous Dodge offerings in Europe.
