ECOMEX 2026 Media and Ecosystem Launch announcing the Philippine e-commerce expo for entrepreneurs and online sellers

Leaders from government and the Philippine business community officially launched E-Commerce Expo Philippines (ECOMEX) 2026, a national platform that will bring together entrepreneurs, online sellers, digital innovators, and industry stakeholders on November 20–21, 2026 at SMX Convention Center Aura in Taguig.

The Philippines’ growing digital commerce sector reached another milestone as government leaders, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and media organizations came together to officially launch E-Commerce Expo Philippines (ECOMEX) 2026, a new platform designed to strengthen the country’s digital business ecosystem. Powered by PHILSME and organized by MediaTrix Solutions Inc., ECOMEX aims to help Filipino entrepreneurs, online sellers, and digital innovators connect with the people, technologies, and opportunities they need to grow.

Scheduled on November 20–21, 2026 at SMX Convention Center Aura, Taguig, ECOMEX is positioned as the Philippines’ biggest expo, conference, and networking event dedicated to digital commerce. Organizers said the initiative goes beyond a traditional trade exhibition by creating a long-term platform for learning, collaboration, innovation, and strategic partnerships across the country’s e-commerce ecosystem.

Journalists and media partners join the virtual ECOMEX 2026 Media and Ecosystem Launch via Zoom.

Journalists and media partners, including the Good News Pilipinas team, joined the virtual Media and Ecosystem Launch of E-Commerce Expo Philippines (ECOMEX) 2026, supporting the official kickoff of the nationwide campaign for the country’s biggest expo, conference, and networking event for entrepreneurs, online sellers, and digital innovators.

The official virtual Media and Ecosystem Launch gathered journalists, content creators, and media partners from across the Philippines, underscoring broad industry interest in the country’s growing digital commerce landscape.

The launch comes as the Philippine e-commerce market continues to expand. Industry projections cited during the event estimate the market will grow from about US$20 billion in 2026 to nearly US$38 billion by 2031, driven by wider digital adoption, mobile payments, social commerce, stronger logistics, and continued support for digital transformation.

Opening the Media and Ecosystem Launch, Trixie Esguerra-Abrenilla, Founder and Organizer of ECOMEX and CEO and Managing Director of PHILSME, said today’s entrepreneurs must focus on the entire customer journey to succeed in an increasingly competitive digital marketplace.

“Philippine e-commerce success depends on execution across the entire customer journey. The challenge is no longer simply how to sell online, but how to acquire, convert, fulfill and retain customers. These are exactly the kinds of questions ECOMEX is built to address.”

According to the organizers, ECOMEX will connect entrepreneurs with marketplaces, payment providers, logistics companies, technology firms, educators, investors, government agencies, and business organizations to help businesses grow through collaboration and innovation.

Supporting the initiative, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) E-Commerce Bureau Director Eryl Royce Nagtalon highlighted the importance of cooperation in building a trusted digital marketplace.

“Maintaining a safe and reliable e-commerce environment is a shared responsibility. Achieving this requires all of us—the government, the industry, and every Filipino entrepreneur and consumer—working together.”

Nagtalon also recognized ECOMEX as a timely platform that can help businesses scale through innovative digital and e-commerce solutions while strengthening consumer confidence in online transactions.

Digital entrepreneur and content strategist Reymond “Boss RDR” Delos Santos encouraged entrepreneurs to embrace opportunities to learn, collaborate, and build stronger businesses.

“ECOMEX is not just an expo. For me, ECOMEX is a movement where we recognize and celebrate the people building Philippine e-commerce.”

Entrepreneur, author, and financial educator Chinkee Tan also underscored the importance of digital transformation for businesses seeking long-term success.

“The biggest risk is this: if your business is not on the internet, you will soon be out of business.”

Organizers expect more than 5,000 attendees and 130 exhibitors to participate in ECOMEX 2026, bringing together entrepreneurs, brands, technology providers, fintech companies, logistics firms, educators, investors, government agencies, and business organizations to exchange ideas, discover new solutions, and build strategic partnerships.

With exhibitor, sponsorship, speaking, and partnership opportunities now open, ECOMEX marks the beginning of a nationwide campaign aimed at helping more Filipino businesses embrace innovation and compete in the country’s fast-growing digital economy.
