Kidney Love Update

It's been four years and four months since I donated a kidney, and it was hands-down the best decision of my life. Not only was it a completely unique and moving experience, but it gave another person life, and changed mine forever in so many ways. Not the least of which is, this summer I married my best friend (and fellow kidney donor), Dan. If I had never donated a kidney, I never would have met him, and I couldn't be happier or more thankful. As kidney donors, Dan and I do our best to eat nutritious meals, stay hydrated and exercise on a regular basis. We don't ever want to take our health for granted. We are so lucky to have found each other, and we hope to have a very long life together. Jackie's blog, was such a huge help and inspiration to me when I was donating. She motivated me to create my own blog, in hopes of helping others the same way she helped me. I never could have known when I was creating this blog, that it would someday connect me to the man who would become my husband.
