An afternoon of education, conversation, and collaboration brought members of the ASID community together to discuss the business practices that support successful interior design projects.
Last month, Lighting Connection was honored to welcome members of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) to our Hill Country showroom for an engaging continuing education event featuring Terri Taylor of Interior Design Business Academy (IDBA).

Terri's presentation, Beautiful Work, Clear Boundaries: Mastering Client Management Through Contracts, sparked meaningful conversations around one of the most important aspects of running a successful design business: creating clear expectations while protecting both the client experience and the designer's expertise.

Topics ranged from letters of agreement and project boundaries to handling difficult situations, communicating professional value, managing re-entry into projects, and even the increasingly relevant concept of the "ghosting clause." Throughout the presentation, attendees shared experiences, asked thoughtful questions, and explored practical strategies for building stronger, healthier client relationships.
