Chelsea preparing bid for Villa terget

Chelsea are preparing a bid for Sevilla defender Loic BadÄ—, who is also a summer target for Aston Villa.

The 24 year old Frenchman has gone from strength to strength since joining Sevilla from Ligue 1 side Rennes in 2023, and has made a name for himself as one of the best defenders in Spain currently.

That has led to plenty of transfer speculation including links to Premier League clubs.

He has previous experience of English football. Whilst at Rennes he went on loan to Nottingham Forest who had the option to turn that into a permanent move, In the event, though, the arrangement was terminated after just six months, with BadÄ— not making a single appearance for the East Midlands club.

Enzo Maresca is determined to bring in defensive reinforcements in the next transfer window, with Barcelona’s Jules Koundė also among the names touted with a switch to West London.
