Flavio Medina, 59, an Arroyo Hondo resident, died peacefully on January 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family who cared for him during his struggle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Tony and Odila Medina; siblings Danny Medina, Moises Medina, and Thelma Mares.

Flavio loved riding his Harley and his side by side, tinkering on cars and spending time in the mountains and with his family.

Flavio is survived by his children: Vanessa Medina, Tony Medina and Isaac Medina; mother of his children Dennise Gallegos; grandchildren Savannah Medina (Brian) and Alyssa Medina; great-granddaughter Aliyah Maes, whom he adored and cared for deeply; sister Charlene Austin (Dean), with whom he had a close relationship; his Goddaughter Danika Mares and his Godmother, Viola Silva. Viola would always send him birthday and Christmas cards, which he would open with a broad smile on his face. He always said, “She never forgets about me.”

Dickie Cordova, Nicholas Morgas, we appreciate your unwavering support throughout our devastating loss.
Thank you to pallbearers Isaac Medina, Floyd Rael, Jose Jaramillo, Cindy Gallegos, Julian Cisneros, and Jesse Medina for always visiting, not just when Flavio needed you, but when Flavio needed you most. Special friend Reggie Vigil and Flavio spent a lot of time laughing together.
