Most Islamabad Police service centers and the Traffic Headquarters will remain closed on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

The one-day closure will also suspend professional driving tests for Light Transport Vehicles (LTVs), Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs), and Public Service Vehicles (PSVs).

Tests Also Suspended

Professional LTV and HTV driving tests will not take place during the closure. The PSV testing facility in F-8 will also remain closed. Applicants scheduled to visit the Traffic Headquarters or any affected service center will not be able to complete their tests there on June 23.

The notice does not state whether affected appointments will be rescheduled automatically.

Two Centers Remain Open

The Police Khidmat Markaz in F-6 and the Cascade service center in the Diplomatic Enclave are excluded from the closure and will remain operational.

These centres normally handle services such as:

  • Driving licence renewal
  • Duplicate driving licence issuance
  • Fresh learner permits for motorcycles and cars
  • Duplicate learner permits
  • Sign tests
  • Motorcycle and motorcar road tests

The official directory normally lists the F-6 centre as operating around the clock. Cascade is normally listed as operating from 8:00 a.m. to noon, although the closure notice does not provide separate timings for June 23.

Online Services

The notice only covers physical service centers, the Traffic Headquarters, and the listed driving-test facilities.

It does not mention any suspension of online services, including driving licence verification, e-challan verification, appointment booking and overseas licence renewal.

The notice does not provide a reason for the closures or indicate that they will continue beyond June 23.
