Community members are invited to review a proposed update to the Police Board Governance Manual – Part E8 on Complaints.  The replacement Part E8 – Complaints has been endorsed by the Police Board to align with the updated Part 11 of the Police Act and DPLEUC Regulation.  As set out in the draft Part E8 amendment, pursuant to S. 173.1(5) of Police Act, before establishing or amending a service and policy complaints policy, the Police Board must provide an opportunity for members of the community to provide input respecting the policy or amendments to the policy.  The proposed replacement policy is available for review and input from June 1 to 30, 2026.  Feedback and/or input can be provided by using the ‘Contact Us Form’  available here or sent in directly by email to: policeboardsecretary@transitpolice.bc.ca
