Today I'm sharing a sample of the Scattered Showers quilt pattern all sewn up in a lovely mix of blue, green, and purple blender fabrics.I finished this one up last year and I have to admit that it's one of my favorite quilts that I've made in the last few years. I'm such a sucker for blues and greens!The Scattered Showers quilt pattern pairs a sweet umbrella quilt block with a block that is a variation on a chain quilt block. I love how the chain blocks create a diagonal frame around each umbrella. And before you start to panic about all of those squares in the chain blocks, let me assure you that they stitch up fast! The chain blocks use quick strip piecing techniques to help speed up construction. Strip piecing is one of my favorite quilting short cuts.Find the Scattered Showers pattern in my shop here.
