Bethesda Confirms Fallout 5 Is Officially in Pre-Production

Bethesda confirms Fallout 5 is officially in pre-production. Learn about Creation Engine 3, The Elder Scrolls VI, Fallout remasters, and more The post Bethesda Confirms Fallout 5 Is Officially in Pre-Production appeared first on Inside Sport India.

Bethesda Game Studios has now officially announced that Fallout 5 is into the process of pre-production, which is considered to be the first significant step in the development of the next main title from this renowned series of post-apocalyptic role-playing games.

However, although the official confirmation of this news means that the project has been already started, gamers should brace themselves for a long wait because pre-production is still the very early stage of the game development.

Bethesda Confirms Fallout 5 Will Use Creation Engine 3

Bethesda stated that both Fallout 5 and The Elder Scrolls VI are being made on Creation Engine 3, the latest iteration of its game engine.

The enhanced technology is aimed at accommodating multiple RPGs in the development process as well as delivering numerous changes in terms of:

  • Enhanced rendering technology
  • Improved development tools
  • Modernized engine systems
  • Better support for next-generation hardware

According to the company, Creation Engine 3 will be the basis of all of Bethesda’s upcoming open-world games.

The Elder Scrolls VI Remains the Priority

Despite the fact that Fallout 5 is being developed, Bethesda has made it clear that the priority at the moment goes to The Elder Scrolls VI.

Almost all the team is working on this fantasy RPG that has apparently met some important production benchmarks and is being played internally every day by Bethesda.

Thus, The Elder Scrolls VI gets higher priority and will be released before Fallout 5.

While Fallout 5 is some years away, there have been announcements by Bethesda on other projects related to the series.

There are two games from the Fallout series that will be getting a remaster treatment by the studio. These include Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, two games that are highly regarded in the franchise.

There have also been announcements regarding their collaboration with Obsidian Entertainment, which was the developer of Fallout: New Vegas. Bethesda is working on a new Fallout game in collaboration with Obsidian Entertainment.
