DAZN-owned Foxtel Group will bring Fox Sports and Kayo SPORTS together under a single Kayo SPORTS brand in Australia from 2027, marking the end of the Fox Sports name after three decades as the country’s leading subscription sports television brand.

The transition, announced at the group’s 2027 Upfronts in Sydney, will see Fox Footy, Fox Cricket and Fox League renamed Kayo Footy, Kayo Cricket and Kayo League. The remaining Fox Sports channels will also adopt the Kayo SPORTS identity.

Foxtel Group CEO Patrick Delany said, “With the global scale, capability and expertise of DAZN behind us, 2027 marks an exciting new chapter for Foxtel Group. An unrivalled sporting line-up with all tier-1 Australian sports locked in through to the next decade and beyond – all on Kayo Sports. A blockbuster entertainment slate packed with Australian Originals, international thrillers and a deep library of content from our over 100 studio and distribution partners – all on Binge. And DAZN Media+ is introducing more innovation and partnerships to ensure we connect brands with the stories and conversations that bring Australians together.

“As Australia’s biggest media company, our scale gives us the ability to make a meaningful contribution to the sports and entertainment ecosystem – from grassroots sport through to the world stage. Each year, $1 billion goes into sports rights and production, alongside $130 million supporting Australian news, drama and entertainment. The scale of our audiences, coverage, stories and investment also creates a powerful platform for our commercial partners to connect with Australians and be part of the moments that matter to them, with every subscription, partnership and dollar invested helping fuel the growth of the ecosystem.”

The Kayo SPORTS proposition will continue to feature major Australian and international properties, including every AFL and NRL home-and-away match, cricket, Formula 1, Supercars, MotoGP, golf and a range of US sports through ESPN. The company says its 2027 offering will span more than 50 sports.

The move follows DAZN’s acquisition of Foxtel Group in 2025 and forms part of a broader restructuring of the Australian business. Foxtel Media has simultaneously been rebranded as DAZN Media+, representing the advertising interests of Kayo SPORTS, Foxtel, Foxtel Go and BINGE.

The decision effectively positions Kayo SPORTS as DAZN’s flagship Australian sports brand, combining Fox Sports’ established content and production infrastructure with Kayo’s digital-first identity. For DAZN, the strategy creates a single sports brand across linear television and streaming while providing a broader platform for audience growth and commercialisation.
