Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has collaborated with Pankaj Tripathi to launch ‘India Ki Sabse Badi Party,’ a new campaign commemorating the Indian football team’s historic international window, consisting of games against Panama, Brazil, and Uruguay.

In the campaign, Pankaj Tripathi, with his humour, warmth, and easy screen presence, tries to invite for a grand party on October 3. As curiosity grows, the reason for the jubilation becomes clear: India’s historic match against five-time world champions Brazil in Kolkata.

The promotion continues with ‘India ke sabse badi party x fan edition,’ a series of films starring Pankaj Tripathi that capture the enthusiasm of fans throughout India in their native languages as the matches approach. The actor is also seen in ‘Tripathi Ji Ki Tuition,’ a series of short films in which Pankaj Tripathi gives hilarious football instructions. The broadcaster also launched a social-first campaign starring Pankaj Tripathi in a humorous interaction with Team India players, including skipper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.

The Blue Tigres earned a hard-fought 1–1 draw against Panama in an international friendly on September 25, a performance that provided a massive boost for the side ranked 138th in the FIFA Men’s World Rankings against an opponent 94 places higher at 44th. Ryan Williams gave India the lead in the 41st minute before Panama equalised in the 68th minute, helping India secure +3.19 ranking points against a team that featured in the 2026 World Cup. The real test for the national team comes on October 3 at 7:30 PM IST, when they face five-time FIFA World Cup champions Brazil at the 85,000-capacity Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium) in Kolkata.
