HealthPoint Welcomes Dr. Ryan Walter as Women’s Health Director

Bryan, TX — HealthPoint proudly announces that Dr. Ryan Walter, MD, FACOG, has joined the organization as Director of Women’s Health. In this leadership role, Dr. Walter will guide HealthPoint’s efforts to expand access to comprehensive, evidence-based women’s healthcare across the nine-county region HealthPoint serves.

Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Walter brings over a decade of clinical and surgical expertise to HealthPoint. He is widely respected in the Brazos Valley for his personalized and compassionate approach to women’s care through his independent practice, [BCS Women’s Health](https://bcswomenshealth.com), which he continues to own and operate.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Walter to our leadership team,” said Dr. Maryann Choi, MD, MPH, MS, CMD, Chief Medical Officer of HealthPoint. “His commitment to quality care and clinical excellence aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver accessible and equitable healthcare to all women in our communities.”

In his new role, Dr. Walter will provide clinical oversight and strategic direction for HealthPoint’s Women’s Health services. This includes advancing provider education, improving care coordination, and expanding access to prenatal, gynecologic, and contraceptive care in rural and urban settings.

Dr. Walter received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed his residency at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a strong advocate for patient education and autonomy.

“I’m honored to join HealthPoint,” said Dr. Walter. “It’s a privilege to partner with a mission-driven organization committed to ensuring every woman, regardless of where she lives or her ability to pay, can access the care she deserves.”

This appointment reflects HealthPoint’s continued investment in improving maternal and reproductive health outcomes throughout the Greater Brazos Valley, including expanded provider training in procedures such as IUD insertion and prenatal care.
