On Saturday 12 September 2026, Sadhana Arts presents an intimate concert at the Chrysalis Theatre MK, bringing together two of the most distinguished musicians in Indian classical music.

Grammy Award-winning Bansuri maestro Rakesh Chaurasia, nephew and foremost disciple of the legendary Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, is celebrated for the remarkable artistry, clarity and emotional depth of his playing. Rooted in one of Indian classical music’s most revered traditions, his performances combine technical brilliance with profound musical expression.

Joining him is Tabla maestro Yogesh Samsi, one of the world’s most respected percussionists, whose musicianship was shaped through more than two decades of rigorous training under the legendary Ustad Alla Rakha. Widely admired for his sensitivity, precision and imaginative rhythmic artistry, Yogesh Samsi has collaborated with many of the greatest musicians of our time.

The title of the evening, ‘Parampara‘, reflects the unbroken tradition of knowledge passed from guru to disciple.  It is a tribute to the continuity of a musical heritage that is renewed with every generation.

In this performance, two remarkable artistic lineages come together in a conversation between melody and rhythm, where centuries of tradition find expression in the present moment.

Whether you have followed Indian classical music for many years or are hearing it for the first time, this concert offers an opportunity to experience artistry of the highest order within an intimate setting.
