Nathan’s Bar Mitzvah: August 6, 2026 Nathan’s bar mitzvah was the first post camp bar mitzvah on my schedule, so I was jumping at the bit to get back behind my camera and start the year. There are always a few mitzvahs in August, and this was to be the first. I met Nathan and the family at Adath Israel on Thursday morning, bright and early. Nathan and I did a little walk around the synagogue, and I was basking in his huge smile. I’m sure you all know what I mean. Eventually, we invited the rest of the family in to join the fun, both immediate and extended. We then headed into the mitzvah ceremony. With the small sanctuary, intimacy was definitely in the cards. Nathan was amazing. He read beautifully and made everyone proud. We wrapped up the ceremony with the ubiquitous candy and some very appropriate speeches from some very appropriate people, then headed into a delicious lunch, as is the usual at Adath. Guys, way to go. What an amazing way to start the mitzvah season. . The Story of Nathan’s Bar Mitzvah: Selected Photos: HERE All the Photos: HERE
