I was completely captivated by music from Sophie Grey. throughout 2024. In fact my enthusiasm for her talent grew with each new release, which came frequently. As she closed out 2024 with the hauntingly beautiful track “Middle of October.” She shifts gears in 2025 by collaborating with the talented producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer Austin Brown on “Dirty Thoughts,” her compelling first release of the year.

Since I’ve been following Sophie Grey’s music for a while now, I genuinely believe she achieves a new pinnacle with “Dirty Thoughts.” Indeed, this track notably stands out as her best work to date. Additionally the music video is a vibrant visual treat that complements the song perfectly. Sophie’s delivery is delightfully quirky and playfully tongue-in-cheek, showcasing her unique flair. She has cultivated a captivating signature style and embraces the retro electro vibes inspired by the 80s. This style however, especially celebrates the dynamic emergence of synths during that iconic music era. Moreover, it’s thrilling to witness her creative growth and dedication to this aesthetic!

Sophie flawlessly embodies the essence of the 80s by donning a vibrant leotard as she demonstrates power-core exercises. In a captivating video, she seemingly pays homage to Olivia Newton-John’s “Physical,” fully embracing the spirit of the era.
