Omega's professional diver goes luxe with Bronze Gold and a warm burgundy bezel.

What We Know
Today, Omega unveiled the next iteration of its iconic diving watch, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M, now in Bronze Gold and Burgundy. It is only natural that this edition pays homage to the previous 300m 007 Edition launched in 2020 for the 2020 James Bond film No Time To Die. We don't know who will be playing the next James Bond—a topic I certainly would enjoy discussing over a shaken martini. So, while we may have to wait a while for the next Bond film, we don't have to wait any longer for the next execution of a watch that Bond helped put on the map in the '90, the Seamaster Professional 300M.

The watch showcases Omega's proprietary Bronze Gold alloy. The material is made up of palladium and silver, two elements that are engineered to seamlessly blend the aesthetic appeal of bronze with the prestige of gold. At first glance, this might resemble typical bronze, but its true character emerges through wear. Unlike standard bronze, this alloy offers superior corrosion resistance and remarkable stability, maintaining its color without developing the problematic green patina that typically stains the skin.
The 42 mm Bronze Gold case is finished with a burgundy bezel insert, creating an elegant harmony of warm tones and just enough color to feel interesting. The matte black dial is adorned with PVD18K Bronze Gold hands and blackened indices, all filled with vintage Super-LumiNova for optimal legibility. OMEGA is offering two different options for the wrist. Customers can choose between a brushed Bronze Gold mesh bracelet version on a foldover clasp or an integrated black rubber strap with a Bronze Gold buckle.

At its core, the Seamaster Diver 300M is powered by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806. This METAS-certified movement guarantees accuracy between 0/+5 seconds per day while offering exceptional magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss. The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M in bronze gold is available from Omega (and fine Omega retailers) for $27,900 on the bracelet or $13,900 on a black rubber strap.
What We Think
Simply put, I like it. The watch speaks to me as someone with a penchant for burgundy. I know I'm the new guy, so I'll say it up front—I don't have a use for 300 meters of water resistance in my day-to-day life, but I am gold-curious. Having a different and totally uncommon bracelet (mesh bronze) option allows me to dip my toes into the world of gold without diving all the way in with the gold bracelet, but it's nice to have the option if gold is more your thing.

If you want to learn more about the history and impact of the SMP300, be sure to check out this edition of Three on Three. I think there's something to be said about how this watch could fit into the collections of more serious divers, especially given bronze's longstanding connection to aquatic exploration and profession.
There's no doubt Omega knows how to make an incredibly durable, accurate, beautiful product that looks—and performs—as well underwater as it does at an uptown cocktail bar. The dual strap options provide flexibility in how one approaches this watch, allowing either a full commitment to the Bronze Gold (one that feels warmly adjacent to the moonshine/burgundy coloring of the Apollo 11 Anniversary edition) aesthetic or a more subdued interpretation with the rubber strap.
