Hello X-Wing Players! Join the Midwest Scrubcast as we host the second instance of our potentially annual Extended X-Wing tournament on May 6-7, 2023! Once again, Miniature Market at 13380 Manchester Road in St. Louis, MO will be our hosting game store for this event.
Format
The Scrubdown will be 2.5 tournament using the most up to date rules, points, and scenarios from the Atomic Mass Games website which are viewable here: https://www.atomicmassgames.com/xwing-documents
The format for the event will Extended. You cannot use ships or upgrades denoted as “Banned”. Please, review the ban list on AMG’s website linked above. Your list should be submitted by midnight the night before the tournament so we have time to verify them.
The players that make top cut will be determined by the following in order of importance:
- Event points
- Strength of Schedule
- Mission Points
Scoring will be as follows:
- Win = 3 event points
- Draw = 1 event point
- Loss = 0 event points
Except where otherwise noted, the Scrubdown will be utilizing the official tournament regulations provided by AMG.
Registration
Pre-registration is highly encouraged. The player cap based on space available in the store is 48.
Please follow the below directions to register for this event:
- Sign up on Rollbetter.gg HERE
- Submit a $25 PayPal payment to midwestscrub@gmail.com (https://paypal.me/midwestscrub) – IMPORTANT: ensure your PayPal name or notes matches your name on Rollbetter, and choose the “sending to friend” option so the full amount will transfer to us.
- After your payment is confirmed, your sign up will be confirmed on Rollbetter.
- Please build your list using https://yasb.app/
- Add your list to the Tournament Software
- Please bring two paper squad sheets of your list – one to submit at registration at the event, and one to show your opponents. To print these squad sheets off, again using your list from https://yasb.app/, follow the steps from the image below.

Structure
This tournament will be using the 2.5 ruleset, Extended format, but excluding banned cards and pilots. Saturday will be 5 rounds starting at 10:30am CST. Scenarios will be randomized each round with every scenario being played until each scenario has been selected at least once, then the fifth round which will be randomized again.
The top cut will be a Top 16 with 4 rounds of play, with a concurrent side event 3 round tournament in Legacy 2.0 format, extended. If you lose in the first round of cut you may enter the side event with a bye. You can build legacy 2.0 squads using this builder: http://xwing-legacy.com/ (you can save your squads by URL).

Saturday May 6
- 10:00 AM Doors
- 10:30 AM Round 1
- 1:30 PM Half hour food break
- 2:00 PM Round 3
- ~6:30-7:00 PM Conclusion, with Swiss prizes such as Top in Faction and Last Place Scrub awarded
Sunday May 7
- 10:00 AM Doors
- 10:30 AM Round 1 of cut and side event begin
- If we’re running ahead of schedule we’ll take a brief food break at some point
- Final round should start around 3 PM
General Notes: There will be homemade cookies provided by the Scrubcast members for snacking, as well as vending machines available in the store. Particularly on Sunday, we’ll be on a tight schedule because of the store hours (thus why we may not be taking a food break Sunday – bring additional snacks if you need them!), but there are a variety of fast food restaurants within short driving range, including Chipotle, Panera, Taco Bell, several deli-sandwich-type places, etc.
Swag & Prizes
Similar to last year, there will be participation swag, a raffle prize wall, various prizes for Top X, and a painted ship for top in faction. The grand prize is a Saberforge lightsaber worth over $250!
