Spotlighting our Neighborhoods: What we love in Lower Lawrenceville

Victory Float Lounge is quickly coming up on FIVE YEARS in Lawrenceville, and somehow we haven’t published a list of our favorites (despite being two very opinionated people)! We get asked for recommendations on what to do before or after a float, so here’s the rundown. Make it stand out Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. I lived in Lawrenceville way back in 2013/2014, fresh out of college and looking for something a little “more authentic” than my last neighborhood. Quintessential hipster attitude at that age. True Lawrenceville natives will laugh - the neighborhood was already deep in its “revival” then, but it certainly felt cool to a 23-year-old Lindsey. Happy hours at Tamari made my whole week, and that was the only really nice food I could afford at the time. Weekends at Brillobox, late night snacks at GetGo, since we didn’t have cars and couldn’t drive-thru at Wendy’s. Some things never change!Lawrenceville 2025 is a little more cleaned up, and FULL of small businesses I adore. If you’ve been following us on Instagram for any amount of time, you’ll know we love our block neighbors:The best breakfast sandwiches of your life at Lola’s Eatery (and the BEST FRITTERS I have ever eaten, I will shout this from the rooftops forever). The best quality, most delicious juices you can get outside of the ones you might make at home at Pittsburgh Juice Company. Our favorite cozy lounge spot with some of the best cocktails in the city (and my favorite falafel) at The Forge. get cozy at The Forge If I’m not grabbing a coffee at Lola’s really quickly between customers, I’m speed-walking down the street to the source: Lawrenceville classic Espresso a Mano. And if I’m over-caffeinated but still need a little something (often), I’m hitting up Mikkusu for the best quality matcha you’ll find in the area. Their seasonal themed drinks are fantastic too if you want to spice things up. There has been a huge surge in quality shopping to the Lower Lawrenceville part of town just since we’ve opened. We love Hannah at Gemini Vintage and Zach Merrill’s screen printing works (two of our former employees turned business owners)! You’ll find Hazel Grey boutique right down the street at 31st, and Dear Olivia Grace just a few doors down from us! Your menswear needs are met a Franklin & Mercer and Vestis, both on Penn.  hannah at gemini vintage Craving a sit-down experience for meal? Try the Nook for brunch - a really solid diner a short walk down Butler street. Love their omelets. And when it comes to lunch into dinner, you really cannot beat Driftwood Oven. Obviously amazing pizza, but don’t sleep on the salad either!Lawrenceville is a great place to just walk around and explore - the mix of new and old really keeps you on your toes. And you can even head back to the river, pet some dogs, and enjoy the sun as spring begins here in the burgh.
